Fics like Curiosity Kindled the Cat (A Selfless Feline, Burning Black)

“I cannot deny your actions… complicated plans already in motion for quite some time, Miss Belladonna," explains Ozpin, "yet I acknowledge you’ve risked your safety to bring me, hardly more than a stranger, information which could save thousands of lives the world over. Why I hesitate to put forth this proposal is not merely its confidentiality, but its enormity. Those I entrust with this duty rarely lead long, peaceful lives, nor pass away in their sleep, at a ripe old age, free of regret." "Mm-hmm." Blake tips her chair back at an angle, takes a deep breath. “So, what’s my mission?” (tl;dr Blake eavesdrops on Cinder's first rendezvous with Adam, can't leave well enough alone, bungles straight into Ozpin's business, and onto the path to Maidenhood.)
