Fics like i'll believe in anything

Here we were, together and yet alone, time slipping through our fingers. I felt I stood on the edge of some vast cliff, looking down into a void that both beckoned me to jump and froze me in place. Truly, I was terrified: of my own denied desire and of the growing possibility that I might really lose my Fool, my Beloved. He had come here to Aslevjal to die. I needed him to live. Now, I realized, I needed him to know. - It's the "stay the night" Elderling tent scene! Fitz delivers a real apology and, finally, a confession. We get everything we want, because Beloved deserves it, and because holy shit do we need it by the end of this trilogy.
