Fics like Life, Death, A Secret Third Thing

“Perrita, you cannot be serious…” He isn’t trying to wrestle his arm from your grasp anymore. “Dead serious.” Despite the stress building in your gut, you can’t help but crack a smile. Here you are, standing in front of Death itself, and he looks shocked. “You made the rules. Only one coin flip. Heads, I stay alive. Tails, you take me to the afterlife.” You point down at the coin, sticking up on its side between the floorboards. “You flipped your coin El Lobo, so take me there.” --- Your name is Fuilana Cortez, and you have got to be the unluckiest girl on Earth. Because of a single slip up (that totally wasn't your fault!), your dreams have been shattered and now you're face to face with The Reaper himself. Through quick cunning and a burst of luck, you manage to snatch a bit more time before your soul needs to be processed. The caveat? You have to share that time with the Big Bad Wolf himself. Lobo hates this, though not as much as he hates you. You sense there's something more to that anger, hidden behind his fanged scowl and abyssal, tired eyes. But whatever it may be, it doesn't matter. With what time you have left, you'll claw your way to a better future by any means necessary!
