Fics like finally found myself (fighting for a chance)

“I think Puss is a good guy,” Death opens his mouth to interrupt, but Perrito believes, he does, “and I think I can change his mind.” Death bares his fangs at Perrito. “He's wasted eight chances already, he won’t change. Not now, perro.” “He just needs a little help!” Perrito chirps. “It’s good practice for a therapy dog!” Despite himself, Death snorts. “He’s going to be one hell of a case to crack.” [Or: a canon-adjacent AU of the story behind the stitches on Perrito's stomach, and how a bit of kindness of Death's part comes full circle to save Puss' last life.]
