Fics like At The Wrong Place, But For The Right Reason

“My deepest apologies for disturbing your rest, doctor, but someone has been banging on the front door for the past three minutes and eleven seconds," his Guard Bot says. What?” Eggman snarls, snatching up the alarm clock on the bedside table. “It’s two-fifteen in the morning! What vile pest is trying to break down my lair door this time of night?” “It’s Sonic the Hedgehog, sir. He appears to be in distress.” Eggman freezes, his evil bunny slippers forgotten. “...What?” OR Tails is left unresponsive and very injured after a bad explosion in his workshop, and Sonic (totally not blinded by panic) takes him to Eggman’s base for help. Eggman doesn't know for the life of him why he lets them in.
