Fics like From Vecna to Van Nuys (And Back Again)

Eddie Munson, with no future left for him in Hawkins, grabbed his band, dragged them to California, and gave up everything for a chance at fame. For the first time in his life, taking a risk paid off. Corroded Coffin shot to the top of the charts in a matter of months. Their concept album may have been inspired by Hawkins, but Eddie never had to think about that awful fucking town again. Or at least, not for three years. In 1989, after the last show of Corroded Coffin's "Nails in the Coffin" tour, its frontman finds himself speeding down the highway from Indianapolis back to Hawkins. Back home. To save the people who saved him back in spring of 1986. He arrives just in time to see Steve Harrington rise into the air.
