Fics like shadows of echoes, memories of songs

Broke and discouraged after a self-funded trip to Europe, struggling musician Eddy Chen is ready to admit defeat and give up his dreams of landing a job in a professional orchestra when he’s contacted by reclusive former soloist Brett Yang. Brett accepts him as his student and invites him to stay at the castle he inherited. The arrangement is a dream come true for Eddy, and it gets even better when the two quickly form a connection. For the first time in years, he’s hopeful about his future… but Brett has secrets, and so does the isolated castle.
