Fics like eager, young (and abandoning)

“Uh-huh,” Ben says, emerging from the crook of her neck with a triumphant grin. “Tell me again how my talk is cheap.” As Devi stares down into his face, she feels a laugh bubbling up from her chest and presses her lips together. “What?” he asks, eyes glinting. She gingerly combs the errant strands of her hair from his gloss-smudged lips. He flushes. “Oh.” She gives him one lingering kiss before sitting up and drinking him in some more. “I wanted to do that earlier,” she confesses. “After graduation. You left before I could.” Something flits across his face, an emotion so acute Devi can feel the aftershocks of it skitter down her spine even if she can’t name it. Then he’s closing his eyes and straining up toward her and they’re kissing again, a gentle wave of want slowly and steadily overwhelming whatever the previous moment held that’d been too hot to touch with their bare hands. or, Devi and Ben boink
