Fics like The Company You Keep

It’s all so......mundane. It feels normal. It feels like it should be like this, like they’ve earned this little scottish getaway for everything they’ve been through over the past two years. It’s easy enough to subtract out the fact that they’d barely escaped with their lives from the physical embodiment of cosmic isolation, and the fact that they were probably wanted men, and the fact that they’d barely said three words to each other the whole way up here. It’s been so painfully quiet. It’s not that they have nothing to say to each other; it’s just that there’s too much, and Jon has no idea when and how to even bring it up. It's just Jon, Martin, and everything that they can't talk about.
