“Can we go to the zoo?” Tsumiki says, sheepish, like she’s embarrassed by the request. Satoru’s stomach twists unpleasantly. “I want to see the otters.” Aw, man, he went to the zoo with Suguru, once in first year. They were supposed to be looking for a curse, but instead they took advantage of the completely empty zoo to wander around the enclosures, looking at the animals. It had been the first time he’d seen Suguru laugh properly - a real laugh, his cheeks going red and tears in his eyes. It was the time they still argued more often than not, the fact that a stupid pun he’d made about bears had broken through Suguru’s walls like that had made Satoru feel incredibly pleased with himself. And, well. He’d found out he liked the sound of Suguru’s laugh. He shakes himself back to reality. “Megumi, what do you think? Does the zoo sound good?” Megumi shrugs. “Yeah, ‘s fine.” He says it nonchalantly, but he’s still just a kid, and his eyes are filled with excitement. Oh, well.
