Fics like all the things we've broken (can be puzzled together again)

“Join Jisung and I tonight,” Seungmin murmurs, in an uncharacteristically soft tone, as if he were cradling Minho close to his chest as he does Felix or Jisung, speaking to him as if he were someone precious and not just the king’s burden to bear. It hurts when Minho knows it’s just his imagination. “We can talk more then.” “Are you sure?” Minho asks, clenching his fist behind his back tight enough to feel his nails dig into his palm. Seungmin clenches and unclenches his fists at his sides. “Why wouldn't I be?” I am your cross to bear. I am a nail in your coffin. I am the thorn in your side. I am. I am. I am. “Nevermind,” Minho shakes his head and turns to Seungmin, bowing once more. He thinks his nails have broken skin. “See you tonight, then.” --- Or; Minho relearns how to love his king through the eyes of his husbands and his past while simultaneously unlearning the mindset that he is only around to serve everyone else.
