Footsteps echo in his ears and Buck bites his lip in fear and frustration. There’s only one thing he can do. Buck reaches for his radio, ignoring the sounds of scuffling feet and shouting strangers approaching. “Mayday, mayday, mayday,” Buck presses out as steady as possible. “This is Firefighter Buck–Ah!” A hand grabbing a fistful of his hair cuts off his sentence, ripping a cry from his lips as his head is jerked back. Buck is kidnapped from a call and held for ransom, but it only gets worse the longer that he’s kept in the dark. He doesn’t know who these people are or what they want, and there’s only so much he can handle before he’s pushed over the edge.
