Fics like Whoever Said the Future was Fun Lied

Tommy just wanted powers like everyone else he knew. He understood that at seven years old he was past the age people found their gift, but he wasn't willing to give up that easily. If he was gonna be a hero one day he had to find his powers. That was what led him to the great idea of adventuring into the woods during lunch time to fight a bear. It seemed like as good an idea as any to discover his amazing power. He didn't expect to be thrown ten years into the future or to find his family different from how he remembered. Were their hugs always so tight?
