Fics like The Lost Days of Mrs. Neele

It’s a dismal day in December of 1926 when Mrs. Neele arrives at an upscale hotel spa in Harrogate. Bemusing the hotel staff with her strange moods, this mysterious lady seems to want only to grumble over the room service, fixate on the newspapers, and avoid the chatty parlor maid assigned to keep her room. But when that same parlor maid finds her job in jeopardy for a crime she didn’t commit, Mrs. Neele’s sharp mind and particular affinity for mysteries may be just the thing necessary to clear the girl’s name. Not to mention, just the thing to distract herself from the secret burden she’s carrying. For fans of Agatha Christie who may know a touch about her personal history.
