Nine at night, as per usual, he walks in. He being the man who, without fail, would pop in right before closing time and purchase the most obscene items Noé had ever witnessed. One time, the man plopped something on the conveyor belt Noé didn’t even know the store sold. He rung him up, as usual, and never got the chance to ask - the man left as quickly as he had come. Noé desperately wished to have a name to connect the man with, but every time he got close to asking, the guy had gone. Or, Noé works at a grocery store and Vanitas buys weird shit every night.
