Fics like A Little Unsteady

AMOL AU where Moiraine escapes the Tower of Ghenjei, but does not bond Thom as a Warder, or anyone else for that matter. When she arrives in the war camp to the general shock of everyone, she announces that she has a vital task to complete that will take her out into the wilds once more. Having only just gotten her back, Rand's council are unwilling to let her go alone, given current dangers, so Lan volunteers to accompany her once more. The trip alone, a dark and bitter parallel of their twenty year history, gives them necessary time to work through their traumas and burned bridges. 'She had no Warder, and no intentions of taking one any time soon, either. They could chew on her vague response and make of it whatever they willed, but no matter what happened in this tent today, that fact would remain unchanged. Moiraine did not want anyone, or anything, inside her head. Her own thoughts and emotions were trial enough at present.'
