Fics like Fathers of the Dragon

Tam al’Thor thought his quiet life on the farm would stretch out in peace — just him, his boy, and the steady rhythm of seasons and soil. He never expected the past to come knocking in the shape of a tall, silent Aiel warrior with hair like Rand’s and grief buried so deep it barely had a voice. He’d come with a question that carried ten years of searching and a pain Tam recognised all too well. It began as a reluctant truce turns into an uneasy co-parenting arrangement — and slowly, without either of them meaning it, into something far stranger and more intimate. Tam watches Janduin fumble through farm chores, watches him try and fail, watched him soften each time Rand grinned at him. And somewhere between shared glances over kitchen tables and quiet talks beneath starlit skies, Tam starts to wonder if maybe, just maybe, there’s something growing here neither of them expected. The Dragon Reborn is being raised in a quiet corner of the world. But it’s not just his destiny that’s being shaped — it’s the hearts of the two men who raise him, together. kinfather .
