Fics like Forgiven Is Not Forgotten

“I’ve forgiven you for a lot of things, dad. I’ve forgiven you for always stealing the thunder when I was a kid and you’d roll up in your turnout gear to my school plays and sports games. I’ve forgiven you every time you decided your crew was more important than me. I’ve forgiven you for not being there when I took my first pill, and every other time after that because you’ve shown that you’d do anything for me to not have to go through that pain. I even forgave you when you decided that you’d play detective with the Texas Rangers and hunt down an arsonist that retaliated by burning down my boyfriend’s and my home and all of our possessions because I know you were doing it to help people. But I’m sick of making excuse for you, to my friends, my boyfriend, and myself, why you’re not actually a piece-of-shit father.” “Come on, TK—” “No, Owen! I’m speaking this time!” or coda 3x05 TK finally speaks up for himself because Owen messed with his boyfriend
