Fics like Controlling Our Fate (NancyxAce)

She saved the world from apocalyptic doom, but at what cost? Nancy Drew would do anything for the people she loved. She sacrificed herself to a wraith. She had a deadly hex transferred to her so that innocent children from a youth center would no longer suffer. She lied to the man that she loved to protect him from a curse that would cause his early death. Curse Temperance. Even after death, she was still wreaking havoc on Nancy's life. She had called Ace a blindspot, but he was so much more than that. He thought he was lacking, when in reality he was the best guy that Nancy new. The one who never pushed her or rushed her to talk about her feelings. The one who knew to give her space. The only one who could keep up with her in cracking safes. "I know you." he had said to her. He did know her. Would knowing her as well as he did, make him figure out why she was pushing him away? And at what cost? One month after Nancy Drew Investigations opened, and one month after she had run out on him after their 'almost' kiss, Nancy is contemplating trying to break the curse.
