Fics like take away those harmful words

Kaeya is rendered mute after being kidnapped, Diluc is entrusted with his safety while the knights attempt to catch the culprit and fix Kaeya’s predicament. Unfortunately both kaeya and Diluc are not going to make this easy. Or “Kaeya” Diluc announces, so the man knows he’s here at least. Kaeya whirls around and throws his sword at Diluc’s head. Diluc jerks to the side just in time, cheek stinging from the brush of metal. Diluc is tempted to turn around and leave because this is going to be so much work and- He can’t. Because beyond that rage that Diluc rarely sees is fear. Blatant and suffocating. Diluc understands fear. Waking up and finding your voice stolen is a good excuse.
