Fics like when life gives you a goose

As soon as the kid took a step away from Wilbur though, he got his answer in the form of a loud honking. Fuck. The goose. In the chaos of everything, Wilbur had forgotten about the pissed off bird hovering around his feet. Pausing, the boy looked down at the goose. “Shit, man. Is that for you?” “Uh, yeah. It was leading me around when you came running down the street,” Wilbur explained, eyeing the goose with a deep frown. He would’ve thought with such a long distraction as this, the goose would’ve been making more noise, or been trying to bite him again considering how impatient it had been all morning. But now it was just circling around Wilbur, glancing between him and the kid- Oh. or, everyone knows that when the goose shows up, that means it's the day you're going to find your soulmate. Problem is, the goose is an asshole. and unfortunately, it's Wilbur's Goose Day.
