Fics like How to become a King

Jimmy's view of the Copper King has always been that of a wise old ruler who keeps a cool head and seemingly always knows what to do in any given situation. When the Cod Empire is assailed by a sudden blizzard and the two of them are forced to flee to the castle, this idea still holds up. Yet when he voices this to Pixl while they wait out the storm, he is met not by gratitude but with laughter. Pixl may be wise, and he is definitely old, but the journey he took to get there was filled to the brim with failures, clumsiness and, quite frankly, idiocy. And what better way to fill out the waiting than with a tale?
