Fics like we've got a knack for fucked up history

“So then what’d you get?” Tommy interrupts, pulling Tubbo’s focus back into the moment. Maybe it’s the vulnerability penning him in on either side, the easy way Ranboo slumps into him and trusts Tubbo to hold his weight, or the way Tommy grins and asks question after question like he can’t even imagine being ignored or denied. The deep trust and simple kindness seep into him like an infectious, terminal disease — that’s what he’ll blame it on when his brain is more than a soft mush of warm and alive. Tubbo smiles bitter-sweet and utters, “I got to keep my memories.” * After the server reset, everything changed. Everything except Tubbo, that is. (Sequel to "standing at a lightswitch". Can be read as a stand-alone if you're bold and have a vendetta against context.)
