Fics like honey and tangerines

(10:32 am) Wilbur: Hey man, I wanted to say happy birthday! You’re 18 now which is insane, feels like just yesterday you were this hyper ten year old running around my legs lol. You don’t have to respond to this if you don’t want to, but I wanted to reach out and let you know that even though it’s been over 8 years since we saw each other, if you ever need anything you can always reach out. I kind of hate that just because your mum and my dad didn’t really work out we lost contact with each other, but there’s not much we can do about it now. Either way though, I’m still here if you ever wanna reconnect. If there’s anything you ever need, like if you’re in a tight spot or you need a place to stay or something, don’t feel bad about hitting me up. (12:23 am) Tommy: do you mean that? or, when moving to a completely new town to live with Wilbur after not seeing him for 8 years, Tommy realizes there's no good way to call someone an ex-stepbrother. or or, a coming of age story about learning how to be a family for a second time.
