Fics like how to mine for gold

Albedo has no clue how many hours pass by as he sketches. His imagination runs wild, making the pose he's drawing differ significantly from the hastily chosen reference material, but it's close enough - it's still bright, it's still loud, still laughing. An image of the golden flower tilting his head up to the sun, a sweet beam on his face as his braid of woven sunlight swishes in the air behind his back. Albedo pauses, before sketching a golden sunflower behind his ear. It spirals, until lithe buttercups thread themselves through the long plait, and the boy's expression turns into one of surprised delight as a golden butterfly perches on his nose... Oh gods. Albedo has literally just drawn this very real and existing man into some sort of Disney prince. This might be the most inanely embarrassing thing he has ever done. in which PhD student Albedo is a closet famous Instagram artist, and he falls head over heels for a golden flower who shines brighter than the sun.
