Fics like shaped by your hands

Given an appointment five nights north, Gawain believes he will be acting as a would-be knight to a forgotten lord and sets upon his path with a heavy heart. Instead, he finds a softer and stranger duty waiting for him. Gawain can feel his hand trembling as the lord brings it to his lips. All of it is for a singular reason: that it is so deeply right to be touched in this way by another man. The press of a kiss to the top of his hand causes a satisfaction to wash over him that he did not know was possible before now. “A simple start to what I would have you engage with here,” the lord explains, and Gawain does not understand but he nods all the same.
