Fics like i’m lost as can be, then you look at me and i am not lost anymore.

Inspired by; Then You Look At Me by James Horner. ~~~~ Kamilah ran her hand over her wife’s heaving back, trying to ward off her demons with her loving touch as she rocked her back and forth in her arms. She was no stranger to this. To being there when her nightmares struck. To being woken up by her violently tossing and turning as inanimate objects were psychically thrown around the bedroom as Anastasia dreamt— or, perhaps even worse, to be awoken by the sound of her tortured screams as she lived through other people’s traumas in her sleep, unable to do anything but bear it. A single glance at the terrified woman in her arms her told her that: laying there, Annie didn't know what she was feeling. And all she knew was that whoever had first said ‘uneasy lies the head that wears the crown’ had gotten it right. Her thousand yard stare told her that her thoughts were a jumble of other people’s voices, their tossings and their turnings and writing over each other like an endlessly editing story with no beginning and no end playing out inside her head. “I’m right here, baby. You’re safe. Whatever you saw, it can’t hurt you here.”
