Fics like Shoot Your Shot

Francis Crozier, in the time honoured tradition of the socially awkward that have come before him, has no idea how to ask James if he wants to spend time with him outside of work. That part of his life was easier before he was sober, he reflects, then winces internally. Well, not easier, no. Disastrous, in fact, but the actual getting-together part was easier. You had a drink (or two, or three) and you made your move. Now? Fuck if he knows. Does James like going out for dinner? Probably. Will Francis ask him if he wants to do that near him? He would honestly rather die. Inspired by a text post by @jopsonlovebot on Tumblr, this fic asks the question: what if The Terror, but it's a romantic comedy set during a paintball weekend?
