Fics like Aegis

For the first time in two years, captured through cameras and preserved for the rest of time, Spider-man didn't pull his punches. He didn't calculate his strength. Spider-man let loose. He was going 100%. And as he did, the world goes quiet. Or: how it finally hammered home for Steve that saving the people was just as important as saving the world Though I recommend reading the first two parts, What it takes (to be a hero) and Making of a hero for a backstory, this can be read as a standalone.
