Fics like don't hesitate to fall in my arms

“Want me to turn it up so we can both listen? I don’t feel like putting the record on right now.” “Yes, please.” There’s some shuffling, the snap of Bill punching down the play button, and then the soft, tinny sound of “Seaside Rendezvous” playing from his headphones. They lapse into another silence, as “Seaside Rendezvous” eventually bleeds into “The Prophet’s Song” and then, of course, “Love Of My Life.” As the tape plays, and Bill continues to gently pet Ted’s hair, Ted realizes that he’s about to fall asleep like this: sprawled across Bill’s bed, still clad in his Pretzels ’N Cheese uniform, Freddie Mercury crooning through the Walkman and into his ear, clock barely pushing 6:30. He thinks about shaking off the sleepiness and throwing himself into the shower, like he should’ve done in the first place, but the soothing motion of Bill’s fingers combing through his hair and the warmth of his bed is a stronger call than the call of getting their night properly started. Or, Ted starts to notice how often he finds an excuse to get in Bill's bed, and then never really gets around to getting back out of it
