Fics like down in a hole, feelin' so small (i give this part of me for you)

“You two get to stay a little closer to home,” Russ said, and he seemed intent on keeping things professional, which Mac appreciated. “There’s a real estate firm here in Los Angeles that the government has reason to believe is dealing in more than the buying and selling of property.” He brought up an image of a fairly large office building—not large enough to be downtown, probably in a suburb. “Rumor has it that there might be a few agents who are stashing drugs and other contraband in the houses they’re selling and using them as stores to sell their illegal goods because they’re unoccupied. You two are going in at the office as a couple looking to buy a specific property—and with any luck, they won’t have time to clean it out before you get there.” Mac heart dropped, but he didn’t let it show. The last thing he needed was to act like he was in a relationship with Jack and since he was been in love with him for years... he’d have to pretend he was only pretending to be in love which was fantastic. Just Mac’s luck. (AKA the one where Jack comes back in early Season 4, he and Mac have to pretend to be dating... and then a house falls on them a la that one episode of H50.)
