Fics like The Dahlia and the Duck

Okay, now Luke liked to think of himself as a pretty open book. But if there was a secret he would take to the freakin’ grave it’d be what was tucked between the pages of his journal. Because in the absence of songs, thanks to his creative rut, he was writing stories. Stories based off the very popular TV musical show ‘Madd World’... Yep. Luke Patterson wrote fanfiction. And he would die if anyone other than his friends knew about it… *********** Julie Molina had given up music after her mom died, no longer feeling that spark. But in need of a creative outlet, she turned to drawing. Doodles on the margins of her notebooks morphed into painted decals on her jeans which ultimately turned into works of art immortalized in sketchbooks. When 'Madd World' came out years ago, she found herself drawing titular character Maddox Green a lot and started posting her works on Tumblr, often drawing moments from her favorite fics... ********** The one where Luke and Julie meet over Tumblr and strike up a fandom friendship...
