Fics like The Butterfly Effect

What would have happened if the Salvatores never met Elena? This is the story of a grieving girl becoming a woman capable of outsmarting the Original Family. Melanie Gilbert is reeling from the mysterious death of her sister. She begins with finding a blood bag in Elena’s old car. Things only unravel from there. But, the threads inevitably and forever tangle around the Noble Brother. This fic is plot heavy with major slow burn. For perspective, the OC and Elijah don’t meet until ch13 and they don’t fall in love until about ch31. Happy ending. mind the trigger warnings. there is a graphic depiction of SA in ch15. endgame Elijah/OC. kol/OC. brief damon/OC
