Fics like for the future

“i have. i’ve always-” santa chokes, a sharp sting behind his eyes. he’s never been good with keeping his tears in, especially when he’s with rikimaru. especially when it comes to rikimaru. santa’s hand finds its way to rikimaru’s shoulder, before falling to his elbow. it’s a terrible force of habit, stoked by rikimaru’s unfailing acknowledgment and reciprocation. they’ve always been together; even apart, santa knows he’ll always have a home beside rikimaru to return to. always. forever. a timeless constant. when did this begin? it’s so hard to imagine himself before that. (it’s always us, us, us.) ... 5 ways santa says "i love you", and the 1 time rikimaru really gets it.
