Fics like picking up the pieces

“I can’t pick between you two, Jay.” He said, “Even if you wouldn’t ask me to, I know you’re not his biggest fan and I can’t… I can’t make you hang around him, but I can’t pick him over you, or you over him.” Another sigh, “And my bullshit is a pretty tall order to be throwing at him, anyway. He’s busy enough without dealing with me.” Jason, for a moment, seemed to deeply consider that, face going through several expressions rather swiftly. Finally, it settled on resignation. “Roy,” He said, “If you try to patch things up with Dick…” A deep breath, an uncomfortable twist of his lips, “So will I. I know I need to, especially if I’m getting on your case about it. So how about that?” OR In which Roy grieves for the friendship he had with Dick when they were younger and doesn't want to do anything about it because he doesn't want to burden Dick, but Jason isn't having any of that "I'm a burden" shit. Reconciliation efforts, enter stage right.
