Fics like Kaleidoscope State of Mind

Renjun’s sitting there and eating his pity-food when a man he’s literally never seen before bustles into the cafe with a no-nonsense look on his face, jaw set and eyes determined as he yanks his coat off haphazardly. A shock of blue hair is revealed as he tugs his beanie off and tosses it on the other side of the booth across from Renjun, and his coat soon follows. As he stares, flabbergasted, at this random man, the stranger’s features break into the most heartbreaking smile Renjun has ever seen. It transforms his entire face, softening the angles of it in a way that ought to inspire poetry with its pure artistry. Which, of course, begs the question: what on earth is he doing here? Or, Renjun’s in a committed relationship, but it’s starting to seem like he and his boyfriend just don’t love each other in the same way. So, when a boy he’s never seen before slides into his booth at the diner after he’s just been stood up...well...maybe Jaemin’s exactly what he needs and then some.
