Fics like hell take us, heaven can wait

"A human's soul can learn, but his body is mortal. A demon is immortal, but his soul never changes. I wonder how it is for you, since you're both human and demon..." Five years after the events of P5R, the Metaverse returns to Tokyo in the form of a strange portal dubbed 'the Pit of Naraku'. Except this time there are no Shadows lurking inside, no Palaces or changes of heart to perform - nothing but endless waves of demons clawing forth, single minded in their determination to subjugate humanity. The powers of Law and Chaos have descended upon Tokyo, vying for control in a story as old as time, searching for a human 'Messiah' to carry out their will. It's a stalemate, one that looks like it will last years until... Until one Goro Akechi, presumed dead post-Maruki, returns to Tokyo. But he's different, and strange, and is, quite possibly, no longer human... or; P5 cast in an SMT-style plot, with all the trauma that entails.
