Fics like A Fortuitous Bad Encounter

“Wei… WuXian,” he greeted, clearly not expecting to see him there, his eyes full of confusion and fear. “You-“ Wei WuXian took a step away, tears building up in his eyes again. “Excuse me, Lan Xichen,” he mumbled, trying to run off, but feeling a hand catch his wrist. He stared at the floor for what felt like an eternity before he found enough courage to turn around and face the man. “Wei WuXian… your smell- I mean, you- heat,” he said, too polite to properly articulate what he was seeing and smelling. He quickly composed himself, a serious look in his eyes. “Did WangJi-“ “No! No, it was my fault! If you could just not mention this to him-“ “He marked you!” He said, incredulously. “It’s okay! I’ll be okay, please don’t tell him! If he wakes up and doesn’t remember, don’t tell him,” he begged. “He… Lan Zhan deserves a better omega.” “Wei WuXian, if you’re his mate,” he paused, seeing the scared look in Wei WuXian’s eyes. He sighed, and nodded, then pulled out a business card and a pen. “I… keep in contact with me. You were in heat… if… if something comes of it, know that I will help you in any way I can- without telling WangJi,” he quickly added, noticing that Wei WuXian hesitated to take it.
