Fics like we & us (OLD)

He'd never thought things would turn out this way. They were happy. He was happy. All he was supposed to think about was when his little brother was going to come out. This wasn't... this wasn't part of the future he'd seen laid out for them. Something in him, something old and burning and still human, told him that the story wasn't written like this. Sans stared down at the babybones wrapped in the red scarf he and his creator treasured so dearly. Papyrus was still so weak... "it's going to be okay," He told him. "i promise." But would he himself be okay? --- In which Sans has jumbled memories of a life long gone and adores people with a ferocity that's frightening and might just be the end of him someday.
