Fics like Ports in a storm

In an AU where Regis, not Noctis, is crippled in the Marilith attack, the prophecy changes, but it does not disappear. They called him the Battle Prince. For ten years, Noctis Lucis Caelum fought a war on three fronts, standing between his people and the dark with an army at his back and the power of a hundred dead kings in his hands. The war against the daemons is over. The victory carries a price no one ever warned him he would keep paying. Now King in his own right, beloved by a nation that sleeps soundly because he does not, Noctis finds himself hunted through the very power that crowns him. To uncover the truth, he and the three men who have spent a lifetime making sure he never carried the weight of the Crown alone must recover the last of the fallen kings' blades and finish a prophecy the world believed had already ended. It will demand everything the soldier in him knows, and the one thing he has never learned: how to let himself be carried.
