Prompto never left Niflheim: he's a Magitek Trooper, a failed experiment raised by Ardyn only to be crammed into an airship and sent to die. Prompto is lumped with a group of other MTs and dropped off near the Prince. However, it soon becomes apparent that orders to kill can't override Prompto's desperate desire for friendship, nor his love for Chocobos.
