Fics like good memories of us feel so real, must be fake

Don’t try to change the memories, they said. Whatever you do, don’t go and fuck this up. You’ll just hurt yourself. Desmond tries to change a memory anyways. Just this once, he tries to ease the pain a little, because hasn’t Ezio lost enough? Hasn’t Ezio lost almost everything, all that he loves, all who he loves, one home after another? Admittedly, he probably should have thought it through a bit more.
