17-year-old Castiel had few goals in life. Sure, he'd like to finish high school, start a career, and possibly find something he's passionate about in life. In all honesty though, he'll probably waste his entire life searching for something unattainable while his little brother, Gabriel, becomes the first omega doctor. 18-year-old Castiel is an entirely different man. In the short span of a year, Castiel discovered that his own father and eldest brothers were assaulting Gabriel because of his omega status. To free Gabriel from their wrath, Castiel claimed Gabriel as his own omega. When Castiel turned 18, fastening that collar around his little brother's neck became the hardest thing he'd ever done. Now, Castiel and Gabriel live together in their small, woodsy cabin, barely making ends meet while trying to overcome their demons and still attend high school. Their lives become even more chaotic after Castiel hears a bloodcurdling scream that shatters the silence of the woods. When he finds Dean Winchester, a stubborn omega runaway on the brink of death, the three must help each other recover from their traumatic pasts while also building a future together that isn't rooted in abuse.
