Fics like The Kid Who Catches Backpacks

Digby Thistlespring's parents text him to tell him they want to try and make amends, and are interested to meet his son. When Gorgug's parents ask him if he's alright with that, it dredges up more than he expects, and he has to spend a little time working out his feelings of guilt and his memories of the Nightmare King's Forest before he can make his decision to bridge the gap between his extended family or not.
