After the murder of a family member, which never got solved, Alec Lightwood decided to become a detective and be the voice for those who can't speak up for themselves anymore. 10 years later he is one of the best detectives the NYPD has ever seen at this age, but still hunted by the ghosts of his past, in desperate need to solve the case of his family member. . . Magnus Bane is a famous crime author, whose books made millions in the years after he changed his name and left his old life behind. But leaving also caused the loss of inspiration, so he makes the plan to go out and find it again. Little did he know that the inspiration would find him indeed. . . So what happens when you let a glorious, loud, open, flirty crime author and a grumpy, cold, workaholic of a detective work together ? (The Malec Castle AU no one asked for, but you will get anyway)
