Fics like You can lead a horse to water (But it might try to drown you in it out of sheer spite)

Desmond knew that in the course of his life he had been through more than his fair share of completely traumatizing events. That being said, he's pretty sure that experiencing his own rebirth takes the cake. He's pretty sure people don't remember the process of their entrance into the world for a reason. It's not fun. Not to mention you'd at least think that fate would have the common decency to stick his mind into a human infant at the very least. Apparently not. Now he has to learn how the hell to work his new body, avoid being hunted down for being just that awesome, and suffer through watching the frankly ridiculous amount of EST between a certain Syrian ancestor of his, and the Dai of Jerusalem.
