Fics like i'm wasting my young years

"There will come a day when man will face the embodiment of true evil, the god without a name, the One who Floods the World. Clouds and Mischief rolling on the horizon, He shall be met by the Light Bringer and the Balancer, one born with the turning of the fallen leaf, the other born of lightning, these two descendants of those favored by the gods old, new, and eternal." -Translation from ancient Norse text, circa 791 AD For years, Evan Hansen has struggled with the burden of knowing he is different -- not just because he's got so much anxiety he can't even order a pizza for himself, but more because he can emit weird laser things from his hands. Yeah, he's fully accepted he's a freak -- but that doesn't mean everyone else would. Connor Murphy is suicidal and desperate for a way out. As it turns out, walking in on that quiet Evan Hansen kid shooting lasers out of his hands in the school library might just be that way out. (aka the one where evan's supposed to save the world, connor's just along for the literal ride, and ancient norse gods hate them both)
