Fics like I see you (And I'm still gonna stay)

The room is dim, tinted with early morning gray-blue. His brain is foggy, but his body’s too wired to sink back under. Typical. For a few seconds, he just lies there. Blinking slowly. Staring at the ceiling like it personally offended him. Over the leaf blower, Connor can hear noise coming from downstairs. Muted voices. The coffee grinder. The sound of a pan being tossed into the sink. It’s all too familiar. Things he thought he wouldn’t have to hear again. But no, Trust him to screw up something as simple as dying. Couldn’t even do that right. Or: What if Connor survived? What if Evan decided to reach out to the only person who might understand him? What if what they found in each other, was much more than either of them could've imagined.
