Fics like Mad World

They hadn't spoken in a few years. But it was like that with them. They could go long periods of time without talking and pick up right back where they left off, as if no time had passed at all. Alex smiles to herself at that notion, letting herself remember how easy it had always been between them. The jokes, the playful banter, the flirting. It never failed that he was always the only one who could effortlessly put a smile on her face. God, she missed him. This is an AU in which Matt & Alex met and became friends in their high school years. This is the story of their relationship evolving as adults. There are a couple flashbacks to establish the relationship, but this is NOT set in high school years.
