Fics like Legacy of Egypt

A what if story.... If Cleopatra and Marc Antony never died? What plans did they have not just for themselves but all of Egypt? Excerpt: "When I was young, before my sister tried to usurp my father, before Arsinoe or Ptolemy was born, my mother knew I was smart, smarter than any boy I grew up with. Unfortunately, I was born a girl, born to struggle with who I should be and what I shouldn't do. What role I should play, and what role I shouldn't. My mother didn't have parents who were understanding, like my mother and father were. She had to play the role of the blushing bride, the dutiful daughter, the loving mother. My mother knew that I would be destined for more than just a consort of a Pharaoh." She smiled sadly, before looking at Selene through the mirror. Her fingertips ran through Selene's thick curls. Thousands of questions were going through her head, but she knew if she wanted to get her questions answered, she would need to be calm and collected like her mother. "Mother, did your mother, Cleopatra, our grandmother, ever wish you were a boy?" Selene titled her head, allowing for her mother the brushing the sides of her hair.
